FPL Assets Leading On Form For Gameweek 11
Let’s start by looking at the current form amongst the best FPL players for Matchweek 11 before getting into our free fantasy football tips.

(Form is a metric that’s issued on the official FPL platform, which uses a player’s average score per match, calculated from all matches played by his club in the last 30 days.)
Goalkeepers:
- David Raya remains first with 6.0 points
- Robin Roefs is tied for second with 4.3 points
- Martin Dúbravka rivals him with 4.3 points
Defenders:
- Gabriel Magalhães stays first with 11.0 points
- Reece James jumps to second with 8.7 points
- Micky Van de Ven drops to third with 8.3 points
Midfielders:
- Casemiro moves to first with 9.0 points
- Bryan Mbeumo drops to second with 8.7 points
- Declan Rice moves to third with 7.7 points
Forwards:
- Erling Haaland is tied for first with 9.3 points
- Jean-Philippe Mateta rivals him with 9.3 points
- Danny Welbeck is third with 8.3 points
FPL Managers Move For Mateta
One of the more interesting forward options in recent seasons has been Jean Philippe Mateta.
The striker had a bit of a struggling start this season, scoring only one goal in his first four games.
Many FPL managers decided to part ways with Mateta between gameweeks four and seven, and those who did have certainly been regretting that decision.
In his last three Premier League outings, Mateta has scored a total of 28 FPL points.
His biggest haul of the season so far came against Bournemouth in gameweek 8, where Mateta scored a hat-trick and earned 17 FPL points for his efforts.
Mateta currently has the third most points among all forward options in the game, behind only Erling Haaland and João Pedro.
He is currently the sixth most expensive forward you can buy, with a price of £7.9m.
His price tag clearly provides real value, especially when considering that he has the second-highest expected goals (xG) in the entire game.
Crystal Palace are currently sitting in ninth place in the Premier League table and are just two points off the top four.
So far this season, they have won four, drawn four, and lost two.
Their next five fixtures could see Palace climb higher up the rankings, as they face Brighton, Wolves, Manchester United, Burnley, and Fulham in the coming weeks.
Many FPL managers seem to think that this run of games will give Mateta the opportunity to produce a good number of attacking contributions, as he is currently the most transferred-in player ahead of the new gameweek.
Declan Rice Is Becoming A Popular Pick
Very few FPL fans would have expected Declan Rice to have the second-highest number of FPL points amongst all the midfield options after ten gameweeks.
He is currently averaging an incredible 6.3 FPL points per game and is only behind Antoine Semenyo when it comes to points from midfield.
His attacking contributions for Arsenal are becoming harder to ignore for FPL managers, as Declan has scored two goals and provided four assists this season.
In his last five Premier League outings, Declan has accumulated a total of 43 FPL points.
Remarkably, there are only five players in the entire game who have outscored Rice in FPL points, and, priced at only £6.8m, it should come as no surprise to see his total ownership rise to 16.6%.
Declan Rice is the most transferred-in midfielder ahead of the new gameweek, as Arsenal face Sunderland away, Tottenham at home, and Chelsea away in their next three fixtures.
Igor Thiago Vs Danny Welbeck
Picking the right forward options to pair with Erling Haaland has been tricky this season for FPL players.
With players like Alexander Isak struggling with injuries in recent weeks, and Viktor Gyökeres currently flagged for a muscle injury, selecting the right alternatives could play a significant role in the coming weeks.
Two strikers who fit into the budget category and who have been outperforming their price tags are Brentford‘s Igor Thiago and Brighton’s Danny Welbeck.
Thiago is currently priced at £6.2m and has scored a total of 47 FPL points this season, while Welbeck is priced at £6.5m and has scored 43 FPL points so far.
With not much to separate them in terms of price and points, let us take a closer look at their performances on the pitch to determine who might be the better option.
So far, both strikers have made 10 appearances and have scored six Premier League goals for their clubs since the start of the season.
Their expected goals are very similar, but Igor Thiago has a slight edge with 4.47 compared to Danny Welbeck’s 4.16.
Igor Thiago has also had more touches in the opposition box with 34 compared to 28.
Welbeck has scored one free kick and one penalty, while Thiago has scored two penalties and no free kicks.
When it comes to creating chances, Welbeck has the higher expected assists with 0.48 compared to Thiago’s 0.2.
Thiago has completed one through ball this season, while Welbeck has completed two.
Thiago has a slight advantage when it comes to taking on the opposition, with 11 dribbles completed compared to Welbeck’s 10.
In the air, Igor Thiago stands out significantly, with 29 aerial duels won compared to Welbeck’s three.
Welbeck has only been caught offside once, while Igor Thiago has seen the flag raised seven times.
With these two strikers matching up so closely, it will be interesting to see which one ends the season with more FPL points.

Final Thoughts
With the first ten gameweeks completed, the season is beginning to take shape, and FPL managers are starting to get a clearer idea of which players can be trusted for their FPL Gameweek 11 team selection.
Roles are becoming more defined, and we are beginning to see which teams are gaining rhythm and which are still searching for consistency.
This is a stage of the season where patience and timing both matter.
Some players may not have exploded yet, but their underlying performances suggest that the points will come.
Others are delivering now but may be approaching tougher fixtures.
The key is to look ahead rather than react only to what has just happened.
There are also opportunities emerging from unexpected places.
A few budget forwards and midfielders are proving that value can be found outside the most talked-about teams, and taking advantage of these picks can free up funds for those key premium assets without weakening the squad.
As we enter Gameweek 11, try to stay flexible.
Keep an eye on team news from European fixtures, look closely at form trends rather than individual moments, and trust the structure of your team to form FPL Gameweek 11 best XI.
Wishing you a successful round.
May your planning pay off and your captain reward you.
