FPL Assets Leading On Form For Gameweek 10

Let’s start by looking at the current form amongst the best FPL players for Matchweek 10 before getting into our free fantasy football tips.

GW10 Form

(Form is a metric that’s issued on the official FPL platform, which uses a player’s average score per match, calculated from all matches played by his club in the last 30 days.)

Goalkeepers:

  1. David Raya jumps to first with 6.0 points
  2. Senne Lammens is tied for second with 4.7 points
  3. Gianluigi Donnarumma rivals him with 4.7 points

Defenders:

  1. Gabriel Magalhães remains first with 10.0 points
  2. Micky Van de Ven jumps to second with 8.3 points
  3. Jurriën Timber is third with 7.7 points

Midfielders:

  1. Bryan Mbeumo moves to first with 10.0 points
  2. Bruno Guimarães is second with 8.7 points
  3. Antoine Semenyo drops to third with 8.3 points

Forwards:

  1. Erling Haaland remains first with 7.7 points
  2. Jean-Philippe Mateta jumps to second with 7.0 points
  3. Danny Welbeck is third with 6.7 points

Bryan Mbeumo Is Delivering Again

Last season, Bryan Mbeumo solidified himself as an essential pick for FPL players while playing for Brentford.

He accumulated a total of 236 FPL points in the 2024/25 season, which translates to an average of 6.21 points per game.

After joining Manchester United, many doubted whether Mbeumo would maintain his consistency in goal contributions.

While the season started with him contributing only 1 goal in the first six matchweeks, the last three gameweeks have seen Mbeumo looking like the FPL asset we grew accustomed to seeing last season.

In his last three Premier League outings, Mbeumo has contributed to four goals for his new club.

In Gameweek 7, he provided an assist against Sunderland and ended that game with 6 FPL points.

In Gameweek 8, he scored in the opening minutes against Liverpool, finishing with 9 FPL points.

In his most recent league outing, Mbeumo scored two goals against Brighton and recorded a total of 15 FPL points.

This amounts to a total of 30 FPL points in his last three league matches.

Before Gameweek 9, Mbeumo’s price had been stable at £8.0m, but after his 15-point haul against Brighton, his price has gone up by £0.2m.

It seems his price increase has not deterred FPL managers from selecting him for their squads, as Bryan Mbeumo is currently the most transferred-in player ahead of the new gameweek.

Manchester United face Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Crystal Palace, and West Ham in their next five fixtures.

If Mbeumo can remain consistent as he did throughout last season, he might be one of the very best picks for the weeks ahead.

Tijjani Reijnders Is Seeing A Drop In Ownership

Manchester City’s new midfielder, Tijjani Reijnders, was causing selection dilemmas for most FPL players.

Priced at only £5.5m, he was seen as an extremely budget-friendly pathway into Manchester City’s attacking midfield.

His first game of the season came against Wolves, and Reijnders took the opportunity to cause further headaches for non-owners, scoring and assisting in that fixture, ending his first gameweek with 10 points.

Since then, Reijnders has only provided one attacking return in his last eight matches for City.

Reijnders has received a price increase for his performances and is currently priced at £5.6m.

Still, his failure to deliver a decent number of attacking returns has made him a budget pick who is not providing much value for owners at the moment.

Looking ahead, Manchester City face Bournemouth, Liverpool, and Newcastle in their next three Premier League matches, and this difficult run of games, combined with Reijnders’ struggles when it comes to contributing to goals, has made him the most transferred-out midfielder leading up to the new gameweek.

Reijnders is still owned by 26.8% of FPL managers, and if he can start providing more FPL points in the weeks to come, we could see that number rise again as he remains an interesting player for his price point.

Dominik Szoboszlai Vs Ismaïla Sarr

Two midfield options that have very similar FPL profiles so far are Liverpool‘s Dominik Szoboszlai and Crystal Palace’s Ismaïla Sarr.

Both players are currently priced at £6.5m, and there is only one FPL point to separate them so far this season, with Szoboszlai on 41 FPL points and Sarr on a total of 40 FPL points.

Sarr currently has higher ownership, with 8.6% of FPL managers having him in their squads, compared to 4.0% total ownership for Szoboszlai.

Let’s take a closer look at these two players to see which of them might be a better FPL pick than the other.

Szoboszlai has played every minute of Premier League football for Liverpool this season, with 810 minutes on the pitch from nine games.

Sarr has seen less action, with seven appearances and 614 minutes in total.

Sarr has been outperforming Szoboszlai in attacking contributions, with three goals and one assist, compared to Szoboszlai’s one goal and one assist.

Szoboszlai has been more active when it comes to shooting, with five shots inside the box and another five coming from outside the box.

Sarr has taken three shots from inside the box and has had no shots on target from outside the box this season.

When it comes to touches inside the opposition box, Sarr edges it with a single touch, with 21 compared to Szoboszlai’s 20.

Szoboszlai looks to be the better creator, as he has attempted 20 crosses into the opposition box compared to Sarr’s four.

While Sarr has a higher xG (expected goals) than Szoboszlai, Szoboszlai has a higher xA (expected assists) than Sarr.

Szoboszlai is much more active when it comes to spreading the ball around, as he has completed a total of 555 passes, with 62 being long balls, compared to 132 passes from Sarr, of which only eight have been long passes.

Sarr has won more aerial duels than Dominik, with nine compared to seven.

Dominik has, however, completed more dribbles than Sarr, with 13 compared to 10.

At £6.5m, both players offer real value in that price range.

With Sarr being more attacking and Szoboszlai looking like the better provider, it will be interesting to see which of these two players finishes the season with more FPL points.

Top 6 Players With The Highest Price Increases

When it comes to FPL, budgeting is as important as anything else.

Selecting players before they see big price increases or selling players before they suffer a decline in price can often make a huge difference to your FPL campaign.

  1. Erling Haaland vs Bournemouth
  2. Bukayo Saka vs Burnley
  3. Bryan Mbeumo vs Nottingham Forest

Differential Captain Pick Of The Week

Eberechi Eze

Arsenal’s new signing has been looking lively in recent weeks.

After scoring a total of 20 FPL points in his last three outings, Eberechi Eze looks set to have a great opportunity to continue his scoring run against Burnley this weekend.

If Arsenal can take control of the game from the first minute, Eze might be an excellent choice as a differential captain this weekend.

Final Thoughts

Gameweek 9 is behind us, and Gameweek 10 is shaping up to be another exciting round for FPL managers.

This week has highlighted the importance of form, with some surprise performers making a real impact while others have struggled to deliver.

Fixture schedules and rotation risks remain key factors, so staying on top of team news is essential before finalising your transfers or captain picks.

Players who offer consistent returns at lower prices remain valuable tools for balancing your squad.

As the season progresses, spotting players hitting a rich vein of form and taking advantage of favourable fixtures could be the difference between climbing the rankings and stagnating.

Smart planning now can give you the momentum you need for the next few gameweeks.

Good luck for Gameweek 10.

May your transfers be successful, your captain deliver, and your squad reflect careful strategy.
