Chelsea Duo In High Demand
When looking at the upcoming fixtures for each club, none has a more appealing run than Chelsea.
The Blues face Wolves, Leeds, and Burnley in their next three Premier League outings, and FPL managers are rushing to buy two particular Chelsea players who have been performing at a high level this season.
Argentinian midfielder Enzo Fernández is the second-most transferred-in midfielder this week, only trailing Bruno Fernandes.
Enzo has scored the sixth-most FPL points among all midfield options this season, with a total of 114 points to date.
Brazilian forward João Pedro is the most transferred-in player heading into the new gameweek, for the second week in a row.
He scored another 10 FPL points in his previous outing against West Ham and now sits in third place for most FPL points scored this season by a forward.
Three other Chelsea players who have also been brought in in large numbers this week are Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Cucurella, and Robert Sánchez.
Casimiro Vs Elliot Anderson
Two budget options in midfield who have performed to a very high standard this season in FPL are Casemiro of Manchester United and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.
Casemiro is currently priced at £5.6m and has scored a total of 105 FPL points so far.
Elliot Anderson has scored 104 FPL points and is priced slightly cheaper at £5.3m.
With their price tags and points tallies so close, which one might be the better pick for the coming weeks when looking at their performances on the pitch?
Elliot Anderson has played more minutes than Casemiro this season, with 2,160 minutes compared to 1,558.
During that time, Casemiro has significantly outperformed Anderson in front of goal, scoring five goals to Anderson’s one.
When it comes to creating goals, they are level, with both players having registered two assists this season.
On the defensive side, Anderson stands head and shoulders above Casemiro, with 333 defensive contributions, which is the most in the entire league, compared to 205 from Casemiro.
Interestingly, Anderson has had the same number of opportunities in front of goal as Casemiro, with both players having taken eight shots inside the opposition penalty box.
Casemiro has had a total of 38 touches inside the opposition box, while Anderson has had 39.
This could indicate that Anderson may soon start producing more attacking contributions if he can improve his finishing when chances arrive.
With both of these players performing so closely at this stage of the season, it will be interesting to see which of them finishes the campaign with more FPL points.

Final Thoughts

Budget options continue to play a crucial role.
