João Pedro Is Back In Demand
Chelsea’s new summer signing, João Pedro, was a popular pick for FPL fans at the start of the season.
The Brazilian striker accumulated a total of 33 FPL points within the first four gameweeks and quickly became the highest-owned player in the entire game.
Pedro’s form quickly disappeared, as it took him a total of 12 gameweeks to earn his next 33 FPL points, and the forward was understandably heavily sold during this period.
However, since gameweek 16, João Pedro’s form has started to improve.
He scored six points against Newcastle in gameweek 17 and eight points against Aston Villa in gameweek 18.
In his last two Premier League matches, Pedro has scored a total of 20 FPL points, signalling to many FPL players that he has fully regained his form and is ready to score more points in the favourable run of fixtures that Chelsea have coming up in the next few weeks.
Chelsea face West Ham, Wolves, Leeds, and Burnley in their next four matches.
With João Pedro having scored a total of eight goals and registered three assists in 20 starts this season, it is easy to understand why he is the most transferred-in forward leading up to the new gameweek.
Marcos Senesi Vs Cristian Romero
Two defensive options who have been consistent performers in FPL this season are Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi and Tottenham’s Cristian Romero.
They match up very closely when comparing their current prices and their overall FPL points this season.
Marcos Senesi, who is currently priced at £4.8m, has scored a total of 94 FPL points this season.
Cristian Romero, who has scored a total of 92 FPL points, is currently priced at £5.0m.
With such similar profiles in FPL terms, which one has been the better performer on the pitch when comparing their statistics this season?
Marcos Senesi has played slightly more minutes this season, with 1,940 minutes on the pitch compared to a total of 1,638 minutes for Romero.
Cristian Romero, however, has been much more prolific when it comes to scoring, with four goals compared to none from Senesi.
Senesi, on the other hand, has been creating more chances for his teammates and has provided four assists this season, compared to one from Romero.
Both players have had some issues with discipline, with Senesi having received seven yellow cards this season and Romero having received eight yellow cards and one red card so far.
It is clear that Senesi likes spreading the ball across the pitch, with nine through balls completed and a total of 289 long passes this season.
Romero has played only 89 long passes and has not yet completed a single through ball all season.
It does seem like Romero likes having the ball at his feet a bit more, with nine dribbles completed compared to only three from Senesi.
In terms of duels won, Romero comes out on top, but only slightly, with 133 duels won compared to 115 from Senesi.
Romero also seems to be a bit better in the air, with 63 aerial duels won compared to Senesi’s 51.
Interestingly, when it comes to overall defensive contributions, Senesi towers over Romero, with 281 defensive contributions this season compared to Romero’s 177.
With Senesi seemingly more likely to earn bonus points from defensive contributions, and Romero more likely to gain points from attacking contributions, it will be interesting to see which of these two defenders ends the season with more FPL points.

Final Thoughts
Gameweek 24 is here, giving FPL managers another chance to make strategic moves and take advantage of players in form.
Once again, fixtures will play a crucial role in decision-making.
Some teams face favorable matchups, making certain players appealing short-term picks, while others encounter tougher tests that may require patience and careful planning.
Budget options remain key.
Low-cost players who play regularly and contribute goals or assists provide valuable flexibility to strengthen other areas of your squad without overspending.
Staying on top of team news, injuries, and tactical changes will ensure your transfers and captain choices are well-informed.
Gameweek 24 is all about balancing form, fixtures, and any late surprises.
Smart moves now could set you up for a strong run in the weeks ahead. Here’s to another exciting FPL gameweek!
