FPL Managers Rush To Acquire Antoine Semenyo
Bournemouth are currently sitting in fourth place in the Premier League standings, level on points with Arsenal and Spurs, and only below them due to goal difference.
Last season saw several Bournemouth players become strong FPL assets, including Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert, and Antoine Semenyo.
Although the first two have since left in the transfer window and the third has not yet played 45 minutes of Premier League football this season, the fourth has been outstanding.
Antoine Semenyo has seen one of the fastest price rises in FPL history, increasing by £0.5m after only four Premier League matches.
Adding Semenyo to your FPL team now costs £7.5m, which can still be considered excellent value given his performances so far.
He has produced five goal contributions in four games and has only failed to return once, against Tottenham Hotspur.
Semenyo opened the season with two goals against Liverpool, followed by an assist against Wolves.
He then blanked against Spurs before scoring and assisting in his most recent outing against Brighton.
Bournemouth face Newcastle, Leeds, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest in their next five fixtures.
Many would view this as a more favourable run compared to their opening four matches, and if Semenyo maintains his form, he should definitely be seen as an essential pick.
His price is still lower than players such as Bruno Fernandes, Florian Wirtz, Cole Palmer and Bryan Mbeumo, and he costs nearly half as much as Mohamed Salah.
All of these players have scored fewer points than Semenyo so far.
Given his excellent form and the fixtures ahead, it is no surprise that Antoine Semenyo is currently the most transferred-in player going into the new Fantasy EPL gameweek.
New Liverpool Signings Are Being Sold In FPL
The league leaders have enjoyed one of the most impressive transfer windows in recent history.
When big-money signings such as Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike arrived, FPL managers were excited at the prospect of adding them to their teams.
That excitement has started to fade.
Florian Wirtz is currently the most sold midfielder ahead of the new gameweek, while Hugo Ekitike is the most sold forward leading up to gameweek 5.
Wirtz’s ownership has dropped to 18.6% and could fall even further in the coming days.
So far, he has not produced a single attacking return and has already seen his price fall from £8.5m to £8.4m.
Many expect another decrease before gameweek 5 commences.
Ekitike, on the other hand, made a strong start by scoring in both of his first two Premier League appearances for Liverpool.
He did, however, blank against Arsenal and Burnley, and with Alexander Isak close to making his debut for Liverpool, many managers appear ready to part ways with him.
Ekitike still has a global ownership of 30.1%, and his price has risen from £8.5m to £8.8m, which shows that a large portion of the FPL community remains confident in his potential returns over the coming months.
A key factor in his long-term value will be whether he can retain a starting role ahead of Cody Gakpo on the left wing once Isak is fully fit.
While Ekitike’s minutes remain uncertain, Wirtz appears set to start the majority of Liverpool’s Premier League matches this season.
The question now is whether he can begin delivering consistent attacking returns in the weeks ahead.
Erling Haaland Vs Mohamed Salah In FPL So Far
The two most expensive options in the game have both been delivering points for FPL managers since the start of the season.
Erling Haaland currently has more FPL points than Mohamed Salah, although Salah remains the more widely owned player.
How do their statistics compare?
Salah has three goal contributions in four matches so far, with two goals and one assist.
Haaland has five goal contributions in the same period, all of which came from goals.
It is no surprise then that Haaland has a higher expected goals (xG) figure, currently at 5.74, compared to Salah’s 1.1.
Salah, however, has a slightly higher expected assists (xA) total of 0.49 compared to Haaland’s 0.45.
In terms of touches in the opposition box, Haaland has had 27 while Salah has had 25.
When it comes to chance creation, Salah has produced two through balls and attempted eleven crosses from his position on the right wing.
Haaland, playing as a striker, naturally has lower numbers in this area, with two through balls completed and no crosses attempted.
Interestingly, Haaland has completed more dribbles than Salah so far, with five compared to Salah’s three.
From an FPL perspective, Salah has the higher ownership rate at 53.8% compared to Haaland’s 35%, even though Haaland is the cheaper option at £14.1m compared to Salah’s £14.5m.
Haaland has already qualified for the dream team twice this season, while Salah has yet to make an appearance.
At this stage, Haaland has accumulated 37 points, while Salah has 25.
Although it is still early in the season, Haaland appears to be the stronger pick so far.
However, Premier League Fantasy Football managers are not rushing to transfer out Salah, as he has consistently proven to be one of the top scorers by the end of each campaign.
No matter how the season unfolds, it will be fascinating to see which of these two premium assets comes out on top.
Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi And Tyler Adams Dominate Defensive Contributions
With the new defensive contributions system introduced at the start of the season, FPL managers may be surprised to see two Bournemouth players ranked in the top three for this new metric.
The player with the most defensive contributions so far is Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, with a total of 59.
Just behind him is Marcos Senesi with 55, followed by Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams with 51.
Bournemouth have faced Liverpool, Wolves, Spurs and Brighton in their opening four fixtures.
Senesi recorded 15 defensive contributions against Liverpool, 14 against Wolves, 14 against Spurs and 12 against Brighton.
Adams registered 19 against Liverpool, nine against Wolves, 12 against Spurs and 11 against Brighton.
Although these numbers may decline in the coming weeks as Bournemouth face less attacking opposition, they make for very interesting reading.
It will be fascinating to see which players finish the season in the top three for defensive contributions.

Differential Captain Pick Of The Week
Nick Woltemade
Newcastle’s new striker made an immediate impact by scoring in his first appearance for the club in gameweek 4.
It has been confirmed that Yoane Wissa will be out for four to six weeks with an injury, which means Nick Woltemade is likely to retain his place up front for Newcastle.
They face a difficult match against Bournemouth this weekend, but if Newcastle can create a few scoring opportunities, Woltemade is likely to be involved.

Final Thoughts
With Gameweek 4 complete, FPL managers now turn their focus to Gameweek 5 and the challenges ahead.
By this stage, patterns are beginning to emerge, and we have a clearer sense of who the reliable performers might be.
At the same time, it is still too early to make hasty decisions based on a single poor performance.
The best fantasy Premier League tips are that trusting proven players often pays off in the long run.
This week also marks the return of European football, with the Champions League and Europa League commencing.
Keep a close watch on minutes, injuries, and rotation, as managers of top clubs may look to rest or rotate key players before or after their European matches.
This could directly affect FPL selections and captaincy choices.
Fixture swings are becoming increasingly relevant, with some teams entering favourable runs and others facing difficult schedules.
Planning transfers with these runs in mind can give you an edge and help avoid unnecessary hits later in the season.
As always, stay alert to press conferences, injury updates, and confirmed team news before locking in your transfers and captain.
Good luck for Gameweek 5.
May your captain deliver big returns and your squad reward your planning.
