Yesterday, it was reported that Goncalo Borges of FC Porto is being linked to Premier League clubs Everton and West Ham.
We first identified Borges in March 2022 and felt he was ready for regular Tier 4 minutes.
As the season progressed, we revised that to Tier 3, then to Tier 2.

Who is Gonçalo Borges?
Gonçalo Borges is 22 years old, 184 cm tall and plays for Porto B.
He is a winger who looked eager to get on the ball on the flank and often managed to combine well with his full, both offensively and defensively.
He does seem like a decent ball carrier, albeit with a very direct approach to dribbling, which became predictable as the game progressed.
He was a capable crosser and often managed to play some excellent balls into the area, while also looking to switch the ball quickly to the opposite flank during transitions.
Defensively, he does seem fairly diligent when tracking back, but needs to improve his pressing intensity inside the final third.”
