Seth Ridgeon Scout Report At Fulham 2025/2026: England’s Next Midfield Gem – Player Analysis

Seth Ridgeon At Fulham 20252026

Seth Ridgeon is a 16-year-old whiz kid who has just been tied down to a long-term contract at Fulham, despite significant interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

With all the immense talent in the England squad at that age level, their limp showing at the recent U17 European Championships was nothing short of criminal.

England U17 humiliatingly exited the tournament in the group stage after drawing 1–1 with Belgium, losing 4–2 to Italy, and beating Czechia 4–2, but ultimately falling short on goal difference.

One player who did not disappoint and stepped right up to the plate was the Three Lions wildly energetic No. 8 Seth Ridgeon, who was terrific in all three games.

Ridgeon captained his country with poise and flair at the Euros, delivering a standout assist against Belgium and commanding midfield performances that lit up the frustrating early exit.

Despite that team featuring some of the tournaments most dazzling talents, including Max Dowman, Rio Ngumoha, Junai Byfield, and Alejandro Rodríguez, Ridgeon emerged as Englands most consistent performer.

Ridgeon is also eligible for the Sri Lanka national team, though he has already made 15 appearances for England at the U16 and U17 levels since debuting in October 2023.

The young midfielder has already made his mark in the Premier League 2 for Fulham, scoring three goals and registering one assist in seven appearances at that level last season.

Ridgeon played over 1200 minutes across matches for Fulhams U18 and U21 teams and even started in the semi-final of the Premier League International Cup against Olympique Lyonnais.

This player analysis and scout report will examine Seth Ridgeon’s midfield style, technical and physical profile, and potential role in Marco Silvas tactical setup at Fulham during the 2025/2026 Premier League season and beyond.

Seth Ridgeon Stats

Seth Ridgeon’s data portrays him as a technically gifted, intelligent, all-around midfielder whose strengths lie in his ability to consistently make the right decisions, his rich passing range, and his capacity to glide through pressure with ease.

He consistently influences the game in attacking areas, whether delivering a well-weighted through-ball, making a late run into the box before finding the back of the net, or baiting fouls in key areas.

Since making his first bow at U18 level when he was just 15, Ridgeon has evidenced that he is incredibly efficient in terms of goals and assists.

In his 1279 minutes of U21 and U18 football last season, Ridgeon registered a goal or assist every 116 minutes for Fulham, which is astonishing for a 16-year-old midfielder.

His output is beyond encouraging at this stage of his development: 0.49 goals per 90 (from an xG of 0.27) and 0.29 assists per 90 from an xA of 0.18.

One thing that stands out is that he is quite a high-volume shooter considering the position; Ridgeon fired off 26 shots, with 11 of those on target, in his limited number of minutes.

A major catalyst of Englands summer struggles (U17 Euros) was that Ridgeon was deployed too deep in midfield and didnt have the licence to showcase one of his greatest strengths: finding himself in and around the box.

In fact, Ridgeon didnt even register a single shot in the group stage of those championships in Albania, thus ending the tournament with an xG of zero.

Seth Ridgeon Style Of Play

So, how is Seth Ridgeon facilitated to be this all-action kind of midfielder?

Despite standing at just 573, Seth Ridgeon shrugs off size concerns: his tenacity, vision, and control prove that hes perfectly capable of playing in the heart of midfield without needing to be shifted out wide.

The height limitations are essentially redundant, as Ridgeon uses his body very well, is agile and constantly finds himself on the hunt to make something happen in possession.

Ridgeon isn’t just tidy in possession, he’s a progressive carrier with intention behind every dribble.

There’s subtlety in how he manoeuvres in the middle of the park: sharp changes of direction, disguised touches and a split-second shift that opens up lanes for the forward runners.

He does have a blistering pace and is a powerful runner, but he isnt reliant on those physical traits; instead, it’s Ridgeons spatial awareness and control that set him apart.

The Fulham midfielder slides through pressure with remarkable ease and navigates tight areas like they’re wide open.

We often see Ridgeon remaining cool under pressure, and he somehow always finds a way out in the smallest of spaces.

Ridgeon midfield burst

This running power in midfield is one of his most eye-catching traits; Ridgeon doesn’t just cover ground, he tears through it.

He always drives forward with purpose and bite.

Several midfielders get bypassed, and suddenly, he’s 30 yards upfield wi
