The great thing about Thomas Tuchel’s takeover as England manager is that there are clearly defined tactics in place, and the German has established a system that works.
Even though the Three Lions had an excellent record under Gareth Southgate, it was hard to say what the Englishman’s exact approach was.
With Tuchel’s new system in place, there’s a strong chance that England will finally see the best of Harry Kane in a major tournament.
With the captain in his element, next summer’s World Cup could feasibly be England’s best chance of winning since 1966.
Tuchel Has Impressed Greatly As Manager
Swooping for Tuchel after Southgate’s departure could have been a masterstroke.
The 52-year-old is arguably the greatest tactician ever to take the England job, and his record speaks for itself.
Tuchel has managed some of the top teams in the world and has won the Champions League, along with various major leagues in Europe.
During his tenure as England manager to this point, Tuchel has impressed massively.
His World Cup qualifying campaign consisted of eight victories and zero losses, with 22 goals scored and none conceded. The competition at the World Cup will be fiercer, but this is already a highly positive sign.
Less About Star Players And More About The Team
The most notable thing about Tuchel so far is that he hasn’t fallen into the trap that many England managers before him succumbed to.
There has always been a vast amount of talent in the national setup, but managers have traditionally tried to shoehorn players into positions they’re not used to playing in.
Tuchel clearly wants to emphasise team coherence and stability, which is why he has often omitted star players.
For example, most of the German’s team sheets have included Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, who had never been called up to the England team until Tuchel took a chance on him.
The player has provided much-needed balance in the centre of the park and allows Declan Rice the freedom that he has rarely been afforded in an England shirt.
Likewise, instead of opting for famous faces like Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in the number 10 position, Tuchel has favoured Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
That’s because he works well alongside Kane and enables the captain to get into much more dangerous positions.
World Cup Hype Set To Take Off Soon
With Tuchel looking like the man to finally get it done and bring the World Cup home next summer, hype around the tournament is set to be at all-time highs.
World Cup fever will be everywhere, and there will likely be plenty of offerings in entertainment to generate excitement.
Watch out for special content on streaming services, such as behind-the-scenes access to team training and planning.
There could also be special games, with EA Sports often releasing World Cup editions of its famous football title.
Slingo games were only just taking off in the iGaming industry when the last World Cup took place, but now titles like Slingoooal!
Championships are hugely popular.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see a special World Cup edition of the game to market the tournament to a wider audience.
England always gets a lot of hype around every tournament, and people often say it’s the best chance of a trophy since 1966.
However, this time, it could actually be true.
The Three Lions have never had a better manager than Tuchel, and they finally look like a cohesive team.
The World Cup fever this time around is likely to be through the roof, and it may be justified.
