Djibril Cissé’s Addition to the Betiton Team

Betiton, a young sports-betting operator that is growing at an astonishing pace, has partnered up with the renowned Djibril Cissé, the former striker for Liverpool, Marseille, and Panathinaikos, to aid them in their goal for further growth

Djibril Cissé, the footballer that is best known for being the ex-striker for Liverpool, has entered into a partnership with the online sportsbook, Betiton.

This is an interesting addition to Djibril’s résumé, whose endeavours have also taken him outside of the world of football. In fact, apart from being a striker for a diverse handful of clubs, Djibril has also modelled for prestigious fashion designers, such as the world-famous Jean Paul Gaultier.

Moreover, he is himself a fashion designer that owns a number of clothing brands as well as a DJ who has played for high-profile celebrities, including Mariah Carey. Cissé’s colourful history will be a fantastic asset for the team at Betiton.

In fact, Arnaud Serour, CEO & co-founder of Betiton, commented on Cissé’s addition to their brand’s team:

“Djibril Cissé is not only a major football star who has had an incredible career playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world, he has also overcome major injury setbacks and for us is the embodiment of determination and character. We have been working with him daily for the last few weeks, he’s a joy to work with and develop ideas and is also a fantastic human being.”

We can easily tell that the team at Betiton are very happy with Djibril’s inclusion. Djibril’s various qualities, including his drive to achieve whatever he sets as his goals and his determination to overcome all obstacles, should prove important for the team behind the emergent betting brand.

However, it’s not only the Betiton team that has high hopes for this partnership. In fact, Djibril Cissé himself is pleased with the partnership and is eager to work with the brains behind the promising platform.

When asked to comment on his inclusion into the Betiton team, Cissé said: “We connected immediately with Arnaud and his team. I’ve been struck by Betiton’s motivation and vision to be a leading operator in the gaming industry. I am confident we will reach those goals and am really looking forward to it. Game on!”

The French footballer has made a name for himself playing in various clubs around Europe. However, his humble beginnings go back to his time with AJ Auxerre, a French club that has come to be known for spotting young talented players and transforming them into stupendous footballers.

After a successful six years with Auxerre, that saw him score 70 goals in 128 appearances, establishing his reputation for being a headstrong, energetic striker, he gave playing in the Premier League a try by transferring to Liverpool.

His time at Anfield Stadium, however, was cut down due to a couple of unfortunate injuries that could have taken him out of the football field for good. Thankfully, Cissé’s tenacity meant that you can’t keep him out of a stadium for long.

In fact, after his injuries, Cissé went back to scoring goals like nothing had ever happened. His determination to prove himself time and time again meant that Cissé’s contributions to Liverpool saw the club win an FA Cup and the Champions League.

However, his time with the Reds was not meant to last and he was transferred to Olympique de Marseille in 2007 after a season-long loan between 2006-2007 to the same club. He was loaned again, however, in 2008 for an entire season with Sunderland.

Despite Sunderland’s wish to keep Cissé, his transfer proved to be too expensive and Cissé had to abandon the team. However, in 2009, he signed a contract with the Greek giants Panathinaikos, where Cissé proved to be a very valuable asset to the team. In fact, he had scored 47 goals in 61 appearances.

His performances earned him the respect and love of the team’s fans, but Cissé decided to move out of the club due to issues with the way refereeing was conducted in Greece. He moved to Lazio but was also dissatisfied with the Italian style of play and decided to give the Premier League another go by signing up with the Queens Park Rangers in 2012.

However, even his time with the Queens Park Rangers wasn’t meant to last as he left the club in 2013. Since then, he’s moved from club to club and retired from football twice. Nowadays, however, he plays for Panathinaikos Chicago in the National Premier Soccer League.
