As you will have seen, we are always looking to add new contributors to our team.
We have the website, magazine and Twitter account which now has a global reach.
We also have several weekly podcasts.
Ideally, we are looking for people who can commit to one piece of analysis minimum a week – across most of the major leagues in the world. We do a mix of full match analysis and scout reports on interesting players/coaches. People with more of a focus on data and statistics are more than welcome as we are also looking for people to join the data-viz team to provide vizzies for our magazine and social media, initially.
Why a minimum of one a week? We’ve learned over the years we have been doing this that one a week is the right number for people to be able to increase their analysis levels without it feeling too overwhelming.
The way we are structured is that all new analysts get mentored by one of our senior analysts – people start in our development B team writing on our ‘academy’ sites and look to progress through to development A which is where you start writing for TFA, first-team where you mentor a small team of analysts and, eventually, paid freelancer. Please note – this is a voluntary role initially and we are unable to accept applications from an analyst under the age of 18 – please note, this is not an internship but we will give you as much help and support as we can and help you progress.
This could then lead to being part of our paid project teams who work with our clients: professional clubs, players and agents as part of Total Football Analysis Solutions.
If you were on the written analysis side of things, you would be aligned to a particular league or region in terms of the matches and players you’d be doing analysis on.
We offer use of our tools to be able to analyse the matches, full editorial support for anyone who needs it as well as our website and magazine being in front of every professional club in the UK and USA (as well as many others worldwide) – this alone puts all our analysts in the shop window.
We also have various education programmes to help you advance your skills, including putting all our analysts through the IPSO scouting courses.
