La Liga 2024/25: Taking A Closer Look At Each Team’s Top Goal Scorer

Who Are The Top Scorers In La Liga By Team?

After a somewhat disappointing 2023/24, at least by his standards, Robert Lewandowski is well on track to finish as La Liga’s top scorer this season.

The 36-year-old leads the scoring charts with 14 goals to his name.

Last season was the first time in nine seasons that Lewandowski did not score 20 or more goals.

Behind him in second is not Kylian Mbappé.

Mbappé might have scored for fun at PSG, but so far, that’s not the case at Real Madrid, although it’s still in the early days for him in the Spanish capital.

His teammate and Ballon d’Or runner-up, Vinicius Júnior, is second in the goalscoring charts with eight goals, almost one-third of Madrid’s overall tally.

Mbappé, however, is not very far behind, with six goals to his name.

The visualisation below highlights the top scorers from Barcelona, Real Madrid, and all other clubs in La Liga this season.

Julián Álvarez, Atlético Madrid’s big-money signing, is the top scorer for his club with four goals, tied with another new signing Alexander Sørloth.

Celta Vigo, who have been scoring for fun and are fourth in the table for goals scored, aren’t relying on just one player for their goals.

Iago Aspas is their top scorer with four goals, but nine different Celta players have found the back of the net so far.

That number is joint-second-highest, tied with Barcelona and Alavés.

Giovani Lo Celso is another new signing who has impressed.

The Argentinian has scored five goals, the most at Betis.

Continuing the theme of new signings impressing La Liga this season is Ayoze Pérez, who is currently the top scorer for Villarreal with five goals.

Real Madrid have the joint-most number of different scorers (10) tied with Girona, Athletic Club, Leganés, and Villarreal.

Getafe, Sevilla and Las Palmas are ranked joint-bottom for the number of different goal scorers (5).
