Daniel Arzani of Melbourne Victory appeared on our scouting list this week and we are very pleased he did. Arzani is a clever attacker who can play wide or through the middle off a striker – xGOLD matches him with Plea of BMG and Raphinha of Barcelona and having video scouted him, our team believe he can jump from the Tier 6 A-League to a Tier 2 club immediately.
Who is Daniel Arzani?
Daniel Arzani is a clever winger who can play on either wing or through the center as he likes to drift across the pitch and play with a free role. He has excellent technical ability which allows him to receive and play his way out of pressure while also showing the creativity required to unlock defenses, with whipped crosses and incisive through balls. He is quick but relies more on his subtle feints and turns to beat players 1v1. He is also willing to drop back to make up numbers and track runners but is not seen making too many defensive interventions himself. He can improve his volume of shots on target as he can improve his goal threat further.
