Marco Brescianini, on loan at Atalanta from Frosinone, is one of the midfielders to watch out for from this season’s Serie A.
The 24-year-old recently made his debut for the Italy senior national team, and his career has been on the rise over the last two or three years.
A left-footed player by nature, Brescianini style of play is quite versatile by position.
Frosinone chopped and changed formations last season, but Brescianini remained a constant in the starting XI, regardless of the formation.
He played as an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder, and sometimes even a forward.
He is playing more advanced this season and has spent 47% of his minutes as a left-sided forward.
It is this flexibility that put Brescianini on the watchlist of a number of top clubs during the summer.

With 3.75 progressive passes per 90 minutes, Brescianini was key to Frosinone’s progression in the final third.
He had only six goal involvements (four goals and two assists) but already has two goals in four appearances this season.
His advanced role also means that number could end up being in double figures this season. Atalanta lost an essential piece of their midfield during the summer window when Teun Koopmeiners moved to Juventus.
They also have lost a bit of firepower in attack during the last few windows.
This loan move of Brescianini could prove important and seemingly be a success for everybody involved if Brescianini continues his rise that has seen him reach Serie A in a short span of time.
