With the football having made its triumphant return following the unprecedented break, it has given a number of fans something to talk about once again. Many would have been left looking forward to its resumption and will no doubt have been glued to the television screen as a number of the top leagues across the world have all got back underway.
Of course, the Bundesliga returned to action as one of the first top competitions and was subsequently followed by the likes of La Liga, Serie A and England’s Premier League, giving the football supporter their healthy fix of action once again.
Picking out the best wonderkids can always be an interesting topic for fans and pundits alike, with it providing many with a healthy debate that can rage on for long periods of time and never truly receive a unanimous verdict – unless one person has an exceptionally valid reason where there is no such way of arguing anything different against the point being made.
Of course, these players all have a phenomenal amount of talent and are expected to become superstars in the game as they continue to develop and progress even further than they have already managed to achieve. The Bundesliga is famed for producing a number of starlets and appears to be continuing to churn them out at a rate of knots.
But, who are some of the best wonderkids in the Bundesliga at the moment?
1. Sarpreet Singh
A New Zealand international, Sarpreet Singh looks to be an incredibly gifted footballer that has all the attributes to go extremely far in the game. Still only 21-years-old, the attacker has managed to thrive in Bayern Munich’s developmental squad with seven goals and three assists in 20 matches.
Born to Indian parents, the youngster has started to break into the first-team more recently and it would not be a surprise to see him afforded more opportunities in the future as his ability to control games with his vision, agility and dribbling, coupled with his knowledge of being able to control games, are all at an extremely high standard already.
2. Giovanni Reyna
The American teenager is certainly one to keep an eye on and perhaps being the son of Claudio has helped him develop into the exciting prospect that he is today. Born in England and blessed with Portuguese heritage, he decided to move back to the USA before earning a move to Borussia Dortmund.
His natural fitness levels, his versatility, his work rate and the work he does off the ball have all helped to make him extremely exciting to watch and largely the reasons as to why he has managed to break into the first-team for BVB in cup competitions.
3. Paulinho
A player who possesses all the typical Samba flair expected from a Brazilian footballer, Paulinho is one that certainly needs to have a close eye kept on. The youngster has been nothing short of emphatic for Bayer Leverkusen in a position that already boasts some of the top, top talent in football and continues to dazzle fans and pundits with his performances.
Pace, agility, flair, creativity and an eye for goal, the 19-year-old looks to not only have the ball at his feet at the moment but the world as well. If he can continue to develop and improve as he is expected to, Leverkusen will have one seriously talented Brazilian in their club colours.
