This move was an expensive one at £27 million. He is going to wear the number nine shirt this season, and the player is very happy to be back. He believes that it is a special club and he wants to win trophies. Indeed, Gareth Bale had a good seven years in Spain, winning two league titles, four Champions League trophies and the Copa del Rey. Now, he is set to be the highest-paid player at Tottenham Hotspur. Let’s take a look at how his career is going so far in the UK.

First Premier League Appearance since 2013

On Sunday 8th November, Gareth Bale enjoyed his first start for Tottenham Hotspur since his return to English football They went on to win 1-0 against West Brom thanks to an 88th minute winner from Harry Kane. The match was played at the Hawthorns.

Unfortunately, he has not been able to play in the first seven fixtures because he had a knee injury when he arrived at Tottenham Hotspur. But he has been going through medical treatment and training hard to get back to fitness.

This was Gareth Bale’s first appearance in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt since he signed in the summer and since he was previously at the club in May 2013. This was a highly anticipated moment for the fans. Not only because it was his first appearance for the club, but also because this was the first time they were able to see Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale play alongside each other. The Unibet odds would have more than likely been in favor of Spurs winning the game.

However, there was some bad news for fans during this game. After he came off, he was having an ice pack applied to his ankle This is never a good sign when a player has just returned from injury. After his recent knee injury, there is concern that this could be another knock picked up by this very important player. He came off in the 78th minute to be replaced by Lucas Moura.

Tottenham Hotspur has not made any announcements so far about Gareth Bale and any potential injury he may have. This may be a good thing and he has been able to shake off the knock. Although, it could signify that the club wants to keep quiet until they know the severity of the injury.

Indeed, it will not Tottenham Hotspur fans worrying about Gareth Bale. Welsh fans will also be concerned since there are three international matches that are rapidly approaching. He would be a player that everyone wants to see in the starting line-up. He appears to be in the squad for Wales but it will be interesting to see if he starts in any of the matches against the USA, Ireland or Finland in November.
