There’s no doubt that Chelsea have had a number of individuals through the doors at Stamford Bridge that have not always been successful. In truth, football is just a carousel of talent, with many of those involved in the game appearing to have crossed paths on plenty of occasions.
However, the Blues are a side that have had more than their fair share when it comes to former personnel and a recent report has revealed that Frank Lampard’s side will come up against a huge 27 individuals that have all had some association with the SW6 outfit.
Indeed, it would appear only Wolverhampton Wanderers are the only side not to feature anyone from Chelsea in their whole squad. There have, of course, been some talented individuals to have perhaps left the west London club a lot earlier than they perhaps should have.
Some decisions have not always been favourable
Some of the talent they have had have become some of the best to have played in the Premier League in recent years and have become direct threats to Chelsea’s chances of acquiring the title, although others may not have seen their careers work out as much as they would have liked. There could be more
Indeed, with the transfer window yet to shut, there could be more movement for some former Chelsea men as well. Declan Rice has been heavily linked with a move back to Stamford Bridge, whereas Aston Villa could be close to bringing Bertrand Traore back to the Premier League as they look to seal a deal with Olympique de Lyonnais for the former Blues’ youngster.
Speaking of Chelsea youngsters, both Fikayo Tomori and Conor Gallagher could be turning out for Everton and West Brom respectively as loan deals look to be in the pipeline.
