With each of the UEFA club competitions, the Champions League and the Europa League, having reached the semi-final stage of their respective competitions, it is only right to start thinking about which teams will be able to reach the final and then potentially claim glory.
Of course, England would appear to be in a good position as they have four clubs representing them across the two competitions, with two Premier League sides competing in both tournaments.
Chelsea and Manchester City are both vying for the Champions League, whilst Arsenal and Manchester United are looking to obtain the Europa League competition.
Furthermore, all four Premier League sides have a chance of reaching the final, thus proving for many that English football is the most competitive and the best around. Speaking of things that are the best around, many online casino enthusiasts would find it hard to argue against Jeet Play Casino being named one of them.
However, it would be wise to acknowledge the other football teams left in the competitions, especially when they consist of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, and AS Roma and Villarreal in the Europa League.
With each side having ‘dangermen’, there is plenty that can still happen in the semi-finals and the final.
Now, we at Total Football Analysis like to look at the analytical data more than anybody else, but American firm, FiveThirtyEight, have looked to work out who the favourites are to reach the final and then work out who is most likely to be lifting the respective trophies above their heads.
They believe that Manchester City will be the winners of their competition, with a 55% chance of obtaining the title after being given an 81% probability rating that they will reach the final.
According to their data, it would appear they will face Real Madrid in grand spectacle, as the Spaniards are expected to just edge past Chelsea, having beaten Liverpool in the previous round.
European glory for the city of Manchester could be huge this year as Manchester United are predicted to be heavy favourites to win the Europa League. They are expected to overcome AS Roma in their semi-final before beating Premier League rivals, Arsenal, who would see off former manager Unai Emery’s Villarreal side in the last four.
Here are the percentages that the data analytics company have managed to come up with:
