West Ham United had a mixed season in 2022/23. Having stayed closer to the relegation places for most of the season, the Hammers finished 14th in the table. However, the most significant positive of their season was winning the UEFA Europa Conference league. After selling one of their most prized assets, Declan Rice, to Arsenal, they begin a new era.
The world will be watching to see how they spend that money and what positions they strengthen. The Center-forward position, and goalscoring in general, has been one of the problems in recent years for the Hammers.
The signing of Sebastian Haller was not a success, and his replacement Gianluca Scamacca has not been preferred, while Michail Antonio is ageing. To fill this position, West Ham United could look to sign a complete player from a foreign club or from the Premier League itself, or they could develop one from their own academy.
