Leeds United have been one of the teams to watch this season, in spite of a lack of consistency. After 10 match weeks, Marcelo Bielsa’s men are 12th in the table with four wins and four losses, one point behind Manchester City. On Saturday, Leeds United put in another electrifying display against Everton, playing some breathtaking football. One of the star performers on the night was Raphinha. Signed from Rennes during the summer transfer window, the Brazilian started for only the second time in the Premier League proving a handful for the Everton back four. Raphinha eventually got the winner to help Leeds win for the first time since their win against Aston Villa, in match week 6.
As we can observe from the heat map above, Raphinha was a threat from both the wings and constantly interchanged positions with Jack Harrison. The goal to secure the winner was a thing of a beauty with Raphinha shooting from outside the box into the bottom right corner. Leeds United finally got the goal after struggling to find the back of the net over the last few games, especially against Arsenal. They next travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea and will look to build on the win over Everton and slowly climb up the table.
