Manchester City dominated the derby last weekend, thrashing cross-city rivals Manchester United in eye-watering fashion. However, Liverpool didn’t fail to keep in touch with the leaders, keeping the title race interesting. Some of the most intriguing fixtures are lined up this week for the English top flight clubs, so below, we’ve provided some of our best Premier League betting tips ahead of matchday 29.
Brighton v Liverpool betting tips
Liverpool will kick off this weekend’s Premier League action down south to take on Brighton, who will be eager to turn around their four-game losing streak. Although, taking on Jürgen Klopp’s team is no easy feat these days, and the visitors could end the day just three points behind Manchester City at the top.
It was ultimately Liverpool’s defence that won the day against West Ham last weekend, despite their attacking players attracting the majority of the headlines. Although that’s not to say they didn’t struggle at times, individual performances were strong enough to win the points – particularly from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Meanwhile, Brighton were definitely the second best against a refreshed Newcastle. Despite seeming on the safe side, Graham Potter will only be too conscious of how easily the Seagulls could be caught in a relegation scrap.
Although, they might not have much of a chance here, with Liverpool at 1/2 to take all three points. The Reds to win to nil at 29/20 is looking good. Back Liverpool this weekend and take advantage of £50 in free bets when you bet £10.
Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur betting tips
United will be out to redeem themselves this weekend, after Sunday’s thrashing from City. The 4-1 defeat proved just how much Ralf Rangnick’s team are flagging, and if they’re to claim a plan in the Champions League this season they need to be winning games like these at Old Trafford.
Tottenham will fancy their chances however. Though Everton are looking poor right now, the 5-0 bashing that Spurs handed out on Monday definitely pricked up everyone’s ears. Kane and Son were brilliant, but it was the addition of Dejan Kulusevski on loan from Juventus which suggests the signing of the transfer window.
Kulusesvki has provided another edge of creativity for Kane and Son to bounce off and he may be just too much for a United midfield that is having trouble at the moment. With Rangnick not having found a settled starting eleven just yet, the away win at 12/5 seems like very good value.
Arsenal v Leicester City betting tips
Mikel Arteta’s side continues to amaze critics that were sure they would miss out on Europe for another season. After their rough patch at the end of January, Arsenal’s beating of Watford last week launched them back into the top four. The young attacking stars in Arteta’s arsenal will be a challenge to many defences in the last months of the season.
Despite managing to win back-to-back games for the first time since October, Leicester’s regular Champions League spot seems further out of reach this season. Although Brendan Rodgers has had to put up with a temporary defence for large chunks of the season, a 1-0 win against Leeds is not terribly impressive, especially given that the Yorkshire side has failed to keep their sheet clean since November.
As it stands, Arsenal have now won four games on the trot and have scored at least two in the last three. However, they haven’t faced the strongest of opponents, and the Gunners have still tended to concede.
8/15 odds for a home win seems safe enough, but Arsenal to win and both teams to score at 2/1 looks even better. Place a £10 bet on Arsenal v Leicester and get £50 in free bets with bet365.
Crystal Palace v Manchester City betting tips
By the time this game comes around on Monday, Manchester City will know whether Liverpool have beaten them to the top of the table or not. But after their victory over United last weekend, Pep Guardiola will be confident to take on any Premier League team.
The champions should be fairly comfortable away at Palace, but Patrick Vieira’s team have looked good recently and come into this match undefeated in their previous three. That streak includes a big win away at Watford, and a fantastic performance against Wolves, controlled by Wilfried Zaha, making the first and scoring the second from the spot.
However, they are facing a City who have topped the league since early December, and have only had one hiccup to spoil their 18-game win streak, that shock home defeat to Spurs last month.
City are safe favourites to win this one at 2/7. But, for their win and to see more than four goals in the match at 9/5 seems much better value.
Premier League betting tips
Wout Weghorst has struggled after a whirlwind beginning and the Clarets remain in the bottom three, despite his transfer seeming the perfect fit initially. As for Brentford, it’s Christian Eriksen’s arrival and Ivan Toney’s goals that has kept them afloat. Get behind the Bees to win this at 23/20.
Chelsea have struggled to keep up with Manchester City and Liverpool, after being frontrunners earlier in the season. However, a top four finish is still within their reach and three points from an excitable but, restricted, Newcastle seems a pretty simple endeavour.
Norwich appear set to go back down to the Championship yet again and may give Jesse Marsch his first win as Leeds head coach – as well as a crucial three points in their relegation battle. Although both Norwich and Leeds are both on shocking losing streaks, a Peacocks win at 4/7 seems most likely.
With a difficult fixture list for Frank Lampard’s side over the coming months, Everton appear to be in real trouble. Wolves still have a European place on their horizon, so the away win at 23/10 seems to be an obvious choice.
When it comes to the chase for a European place, West Ham won’t be too fussed about just losing to Liverpool last weekend. Yet, Aston Villa’s team has transformed since Philippe Coutinho came on the scene, so the draw at 9/4 looks attractive.
Southampton were staying in their lane until 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Aston Villa last week. But, they should be fine for relegation-threatened Watford on Sunday so go for the Saints’ victory at 6/10.
