The Bundesliga has provided plenty of drama and excitement throughout this current campaign already, with champions and usually-dominant force Bayern Munich being pushed all the way by bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Among those two high-flying clubs and many of the others pushing for European places in the division, there is an abundance of top prospects plying their trade and showcasing their credentials on this grand stage.
So, with so many talented youngsters quickly rising up the ladder on German soil, here are four of the best and most intriguing to watch this season.
Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund)
The highly-rated and immensely talented Englishman Jadon Sancho is firing on all cylinders at current club Borussia Dortmund, having moved to the Bundesliga giants from Premier League champions Manchester City.
At just 18 years of age the former Sky Blues academy product has swiftly risen to prominence in German surroundings and his former English employers, along with plenty of other top European giants, are now seeking to secure his services this coming summer.
By then, the three-cap England international attacker could be a German league victor, with the Black and Yellows flying high near the summit of the Bundesliga standings. Lucien Favre’s side are therefore a promising 11/4 with bet365 in the Bundesliga betting to prevail outright this term.
Tyler Adams (RB Leipzig)
Plenty of young players are benefiting from the tough competition and big platform in the Bundesliga, including RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams.
The 20-year-old United States international has built a strong reputation in Germany after moving to the country’s top-flight from MLS. Such a rise in competition hasn’t hindered him though as he continues to excel in his new surroundings.
Dan-Axel Zagadou (Borussia Dortmund)
Another Borussia Dortmund starlet next on our list, this time centre back Dan-Axel Zagadou. The 19-year-old Frenchman has been a huge stand-out performer for Favre’s men and looks to have a huge future in his career.
Having left French champions PSG back in the summer of 2017, the talented teenager was statistically the best defender during the first half of the current campaign during 2018/19.
Reiss Nelson (Hoffenheim)
Currently on loan from Premier League outfit Arsenal, Reiss Nelson is enjoying great temporary success at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
At only 19 years of age, he possesses all the attributes capable of becoming a top player, for whoever he ends up with, in the long-term. The Gunners will likely want him back and Unai Emery may see a big spot for him in his near-future plans.
But for now, Nelson is riding high in Germany’s top tier and will look to end the current term as he started, with Hoffenheim still pushing hard to finish in a promising European place in the standings.
