Premier League Matchday 26 Betting Tips

Mohammed Salisu 2021/22: Mohammed Salisu at Southampton- tactical analysis tactics

A packed Premier League schedule sees all 20 teams in action this weekend. With some huge fixtures coming up at both ends of the table, read on to see all our Premier League betting tips for matchday 26.

West Ham United v Newcastle United Betting Tips

Newcastle go in search of their fourth straight victory when they visit West Ham at the London Stadium in Saturday’s early kick-off. The Magpies’ January signings have made an instant impact, with Eddie Howe’s side moving out of the relegation zone for the first time since September.

However, key man Kieran Trippier suffered a broken foot after scoring the only goal of the game against Aston Villa last weekend. Newcastle still ought to be full of confidence as the mood continues to be lifted at the club, but the Hammers’ have stood tall against everyone they have come across this season. It won’t be an easy game for Eddie Howe’s team.

West Ham’s 2-2 draw away to Leicester City last time out saw them drop out of the Champions League places. David Moyes has come under fire for showing continued faith in the disgraced Kurt Zouma, with plenty of pressure on the Irons due to the extra media attention.

The hosts are the 7/10 favourites, while the visitors are 15/4 to take three points back to Tyneside. A draw could be the way to go at 3/1 though. Stake £10 when you sign up to Bet365 and get £50 in free bets.

Liverpool v Norwich City Betting Tips

There’s no doubt about the way to go in this one. Second from top hosts third from bottom, and even though Norwich have given their fans some renewed hope in recent weeks, a trip to Liverpool though, is one of the toughest tasks in world football at the moment.

The Canaries lost 4-0 to Manchester City last weekend, but that’s no disgrace given the Blues went away to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday and thrashed the Portuguese champions 5-0. Dean Smith must rally his troops ahead of this visit to Anfield though.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 16 games against Norwich, a run that stretches back nearly 30 years. The Reds have won each of the last five meetings between the clubs, scoring 16 goals in the process. The last three of those have been to nil, with the same outcome priced at 3/4 in these Liverpool v Norwich predictions. A third successive 3-0 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side in this fixture is 13/2.

Manchester City v Tottenham Betting Tips

Man City are dominant both at home and abroad at present. Pep Guardiola’s side are being hailed as one of the best teams in the world in the wake of their stunning midweek performance, but Antonio Conte will be desperate to show what his Tottenham team is made of in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off.

Spurs come into this fixture in dreadful form though, following up their first defeat under Conte against Chelsea with two more in quick succession. Losses to Southampton and Wolves have left the north London outfit down in eighth place, but they have games in hand to make up their deficit to the top four.

That said, the away team are highly unlikely to make up any ground on the teams above them against a rampant City side, especially at the Etihad. The Blues are looking sensational at present and are out for revenge after losing to Spurs on the opening day of the season.

City are unbeaten in their last seven home games against Tottenham, winning five, and they are 3/10 this weekend. None of the last five meetings between the clubs have seen both teams score, so a City win to nil looks promising at 11/10 – especially given the Citizens have only conceded 14 times in 25 Premier League fixtures so far this season.

Leeds United v Manchester United Betting Tips

Manchester United visit an Elland Road full of fans in the league for the first time in more than 18 years in Sunday’s early game, in what was seen as a classic fixture a couple of decades ago. Leeds will be desperate to get one over on their old rivals, especially after suffering a couple of heavy defeats to the Reds since returning to the top flight last season.

United have thrashed the Whites 6-2 and 5-1 at Old Trafford, although the teams played out a goalless draw at an empty Elland Road last April. With Leeds perilously close to the drop zone and United barely holding on to a place in the top four, this is a huge clash for both of these clubs.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side head into the weekend 15th in the table and in dismal form, with Everton and Newcastle directly below them and Norwich. Leeds have only won two of their last 10 fixtures, losing six, in what has been a tough second season back in the big time for the Yorkshire club.

It’s also been a tough campaign for United, although Ralf Rangnick’s side finally shed their hoodoo of drawing 1-1 after being in the lead when they beat Brighton 2-0 on Tuesday. The Reds could have a lot of success against a Whites side who are prone to the counter-attack, with an away win 19/20 in these Leeds v Man United predictions. An over 3.5 goals bet also looks tempting at 17/10, with a combination of those two selections giving you odds of 7/2.

Wolves v Leicester City Betting Tips

Sunday’s feature match sees West Midlands host East, as Wolves welcome Leicester to Molineux. The home team have been in excellent form recently, while the same cannot be said of the visitors.

Wolves’ only defeat in their last seven Premier League fixtures was a 1-0 loss to Arsenal earlier this month. Wanderers have won five of those matches, drawing the other against third-placed Chelsea.

Leicester, meanwhile, have failed to win any of their last five domestic games, losing three. It looks good for the home team to pile the misery onto Brendan Rodgers at 15/11 in the outright market and 11/4 to win to nil. A 1-0 home win is 34/5 for those brave enough to go with the score prediction.

Premier League Betting Tips

There are five further games this weekend, all taking place at 3 pm on Saturday. Arsenal should be a home banker at 7/15 to beat a struggling Brentford side, while Aston Villa are also odds-on favourites to put their recent slump behind them with a win against second-bottom Watford.

Bottom of the league Burnley are away to Brighton, with the hosts available at 10/13 for the win after a solid performance at Old Trafford in midweek. Crystal Palace could pose Chelsea some problems, but Thomas Tuchel’s side should come away with the three points at 9/13.

Finally, Southampton are set to welcome Everton to St Mary’s in what should be an interesting match. The Saints were impressive in drawing away to Man United last weekend, while the Toffees produced one of their best displays in years by beating Leeds 3-0 at Goodison Park. The draw at 13/5 looks to be a good bet for this one. Sign up with Bet365 and get £50 in free bets when you stake £10.
