Harry Kane at FC Bayern 2023/24 - scout report tactics analysis

Bayern Munich is in a commendable position on the Bundesliga standings this season. With an impressive record of nine wins and two draws in eleven matches, they trail only behind league leaders Bayern Leverkusen, with a mere 2-point difference. Xabier Alonso’s team has won all eleven games and held a 1-1 Draw with the Defending Champions. The ex-Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich star weaves a spell of footballing brilliance, empowering talented individuals who seamlessly fit into his dynamic tactics, forming a cohesive unit like assembling intricate puzzle pieces. The infused rivalry between both top teams promises to be the ‘Highlight of the season’ as both teams vie for Bundesliga glory.

Thomas Tuchel, who took over the coaching role from Julian Nagelsmann last season at Bayern Munich, has exhibited a brand of football that has enthralled fans. Having only been defeated on two occasions this season – a 3-0 defeat to Leipzig in the DFL Super Cup and a 2-1 knockout defeat to FC Saarbrucken in the DFB Cup second round, the Bavarians are not taking any chances of further losses. Tuchel’s tactical prowess has been complemented by summer signings, with England captain – Harry Kane being the standout signing. Despite injuries to crucial players such as Tom Hülsmann (Hamstring injury), Matthijs de Ligt (Inner knee ligament tear), Tarek Buchmann (Torn muscle bundle), and Jamal Musiala (Hamstring injury), Bayern has maintained its winning momentum.

Jamal Musiala has been a crucial asset for Bayern. The 20-year-old attacker finished second in the Golden Boy awards behind Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham after registering 16 goals and 16 assists last season. He is currently in individual training after recovering from a muscle injury. His contribution, coupled with Mathys Tel’s (also a Golden Boy finalist), adds depth to Bayern’s attacking prowess.

Harry Kane’s impact in recent games has been nothing short of sensational. The English striker has already netted 21 goals and provided seven assists in just 16 appearances. His two goals against FC Heidenheim 1846 in Bayern’s 4-2 last victory took him past Robert Lewandowski’s record of 16 goals in 11 matches in 2019. Kane’s stellar form earned him the Player of the Month for October, and he shows no signs of slowing down, already scoring seven goals in November, which includes 3 Hat-tricks. The Three Lions star is England and Spurs’ all-time leading scorer and will want to make more history during his time in the Bundesliga. Harry Kane now stands a chance and is past halfway at triggering a €25k bonus in his contract if he reaches the 40-goal mark in all competitions.  Having transferred from Tottenham to Bayern this summer, Kane has already surpassed the goal tally of last season’s Bundesliga joint-top scorers, Christopher Nkunku and Niclas Fullkrug, both finished with 16 goals each.

While still on the international break, several Bayern players showcased their skills with their national teams. Amongst them, Harry Kane continued his scoring form with a goal in England’s 2-0 victory against Malta. The Englishmen already secured a spot in EURO 2024. Kingsley Coman scored a brace in France’s 14-0 rout of Gibraltar, while Minjae Kim and South Korea won their opening qualifying match for the 2026 World.  Konrad Laimer scored the opener for Austria in a 2-0 victory in Estonia. Frans Krätzig and Aleksandar Pavlović celebrated a late win 1-0 win over Romania with the Germany U20 team.

Mathys Tel and the French U21 side suffered their first defeat in a 2-0 victory away to Austra in an EURO 2025 qualification match. Leroy Sane, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, and Thomas Müller unfortunately faced a 3-2 defeat in a friendly against Turkey in Berlin.

As Bayern Munich gears up for the next set of fixtures, the fans eagerly anticipate the continued success of their team in both domestic and European competitions. The blend of seasoned stars and emerging talents bodes well for a thrilling season ahead.

BAYERN MUNICH UPCOMING FIXTURES!

The Danish side brings European experience and youthful energy. Having previously defeated Manchester United, they go into this encounter on a quest to clinch a spot in the knockout stages, setting the stage for an intriguing clash. Bayern’s ability to control possession and exploit spaces will be crucial in this encounter.

Moving to December 2nd, Bayern takes on FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. Union Berlin, currently in last place in the Bundesliga standings, has won only two matches and lost every other this season. This match promises intensity as both teams would seek Restoration -Bayern to stay top of the League, and Union Berlin clear of relegation.

On December 9th, Bayern Munich travel to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. Frankfurt’s attacking style and ability to press high up the pitch will challenge Bayern’s backline. This fixture holds the promise of end-to-end action and quick transitions. Dino Toppmoller’s squad is still undefeated at the Deutsche Bank Park this season. It would be another great test for Thomas Tuchel and his team.

In the UEFA Champions League on December 12th, Bayern Munich squares off against Manchester United. The historic rivalry between the two clubs adds an extra layer of excitement. Bayern previously won their impressive 17th consecutive victory in the group stages of the UCL, extending their unbeaten streak to 38 games. However, Manchester United is at risk of potential elimination after Matchday 5. After their faith at Galatasary, they would come into the encounter either to clinch a spot in the knockout stages of the UCL or a place in the Europa Competition. Either way, United’s goal would be victory, and their defensive solidity would clash with Bayern’s attacking flair, making this a must-watch encounter for football enthusiasts.

Back in Bundesliga action on December 17th, Bayern faces VfB Stuttgart. Currently third on the League Table, Stuttgart has had an impressive start to this season, registering eight wins in eleven League matches. Expect skillful play and strategic maneuvering from both sides.

Closing out the year on December 20th, Bayern Munich travels to VfL Wolfsburg. Niko Kovac Taem’s organized defense and set-piece prowess will provide a stern test for Bayern. Tuchel would need his team’s strength and attacking ability to break down Wolfsburg’s defense. Wolfsburg, known for their deadly set-piece capabilities, would seek them to create scoring chances. The team that executes their strategy the best will prevail. This fixture promises a tactical battle as both teams vie for control and supremacy on the pitch.

On January 12th, to kick off the year, Bayern Munich gears up to face TSG Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga. Hoffenheim hasn’t won a match since late October against VfB Stuttgart. They sit 6th on the League table and fight for a place in European football next season.

Fast forward to January 21st, and Bayern Munich hosts Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga. Werder Bremen, known for their resilience and disciplined play, will aim to thwart Bayern’s attacking flair. They have endured a decline in recent years, struggling to regain their previous glory. However, under the leadership of Head Coach – Ole Werner at the helm, combined with the talent of Marvin Ducksch and Mitchell Weiser, Bremen has shown glimpses of improvement this season. Expect a Sunday showdown filled with intensity and strategic maneuvers as both teams vie for supremacy on the pitch.

On January 27th, Bayern Munich hits the road to face FC Augsburg at the WWK Arena in the Bundesliga. Augsburg’s home advantage and spirited performances make this fixture one to watch. With a history deeply rooted in glorious victories and outstanding performances, Bayern Munich remains undeterred by unfamiliar grounds as they seek another triumph over FC Augsburg. It’s not just a game on the schedule; it’s an opportunity for both teams to showcase their strengths and claim valuable points in the German league.

As Bayern Munich orchestrated strategic moves in the summer transfer market, football enthusiasts eagerly awaited to see the imprint of Coach -Thomas Tuchel on the upcoming season. Now, with a handful of games going into the season, opponents are tasked with decoding and adapting to Tuchel’s tactical blueprint. Bayern Munich’s quest for triumph in both domestic and European competitions adds an element of intrigue and positions them as the favorites, creating an enticing narrative of excellence and anticipation.

The spotlight, however, isn’t just on the pitch—it’s also on securing sold-out Bayern Munich tickets. With the team’s stellar performances, the demand for tickets has skyrocketed. While official retail sites may fall short due to limited availability and soaring demand, turning to trusted reseller platforms becomes the go-to option for swift access to the sought-after Bayern Munich tickets.
