Predictions For Each Match Of The Thirteenth Week Of The EPL 2023/24

The English Premier League is currently generating lots of controversies, with ongoing investigations into acts by some clubs. These clubs are suspected of having broken the profit and sustainability rules, which could lead to penalties of points docking or straight relegation. Everton has been found guilty, with a penalty of ten points deduction. Right now, they sit at the 19th position of the English Premier League table. Other teams undergoing investigations for the same violation include Manchester City and Chelsea, and we dread the penalties they face if found guilty.

Away from the administrative drama, the league has kept us on the edge of our seats with exciting matches. In the twelfth week, we saw the suspense-packed match between Chelsea and Manchester City that ended in a draw. The eleventh week gave us a surprise with Newcastle beating Arsenal 1 – 0 and the 4 – 1 victory of Chelsea against Tottenham that demoralized them. We gave our accurate predictions for these games, which you can also follow for future matches. Here’s a list of EPL football predictions, updated for every game week of the league. Without further ado, let’s delve into the predictions for the matches of the thirteenth week.

Manchester City Vs. Liverpool

This is the first game of the thirteenth week, and it’s one of the most anticipated. Predictions are pouring in from sports analysts with respect to the form and winning streaks of both teams this season. Currently, Manchester City sits at the top of the table with 28 points, while Liverpool sits second with 27 points. Jurgen Klopp has re-instilled the confidence of his team, with stellar performances so far, compared to the last season. Out of 12 games played by Liverpool, they’ve won eight, drawn three, and lost one.

On the other hand, Manchester City has maintained their excellent form from last season, winning nine out of twelve games. They’ve lost two and drawn one to retain their number-one position in the league. Head-to-head, over the past eighteen matches between both teams, Liverpool has more wins with seven victories, six draws, and five wins.  For this upcoming game, the match will be played at the Etihad Stadium, giving home advantage to Manchester City.

For either team to win, it’ll be a hard-fought victory, and we’re predicting the edge goes to Manchester City to win. The Manchester City squad is in excellent form, with brilliant players like Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, Kevin De Bruyne, and Julian Alvarez. Liverpool has a formidable squad, too, but we see the edge better with Manchester City, or at best, a draw. For this game, we expect over two goals in the final result.

Sheffield United Vs. Bournemouth

These are bottom-table teams with poor runs so far in the league. Bournemouth sits at number 16 currently, while Sheffield United sits at number 18 on the table. Out of twelve matches this season, Bournemouth has won only two games, while Sheffield has won only one. However, head-to-head over twelve matches, Sheffield United has defeated Bournemouth nine times with two draws and a loss. We’re quite convinced Sheffield United will win this upcoming match again, and you can count on at least two goals to be scored by Sheffield United.

Nottingham Forest Vs. Brighton

Brighton Hove & Albion has been a favorite underdog team this season with some of their surprising performances against Manchester United, Wolves, and Newcastle. Currently, they sit at number eight on the table with 19 points from five wins, four draws, and three losses. On the other hand, Nottingham sits at number 14, with 13 points from three wins, four draws, and five losses. Brighton is the favored team to win this upcoming game, with better form and motivation than Nottingham Forest. Our EPL football predictions see at least two goals from Brighton.

Burnley Vs. West Ham

Burnley has the worst run of the season, with one win, one draw, and ten losses so far. They sit at the bottom of the league and stand a risk of relegation. For this upcoming match against West Ham United, they almost stand no chance of winning. If you’ve taken our football betting tips in the past, you’d do well to bet on West Ham having a straight win with at least two goals.

Luton Town Vs. Crystal Palace

Luton Town only gained promotion into the Premier League this season and has been fighting to stay clear of the bottom three since the beginning. They currently sit at number 17 on the table and are going up against Crystal Palace, number 13 on the table. Crystal Palace has the obvious advantage to win, and you’d do well to place your bets on them.

Newcastle Vs. Chelsea

Of these two teams, Newcastle has been the one with better form this season. Chelsea seems to be still adjusting to the management of Mauricio Pochettino, recording losses and draws against big and small teams in the league. Chelsea has been largely unpredictable this season, underperforming where they should perform well and vice versa. As such, we predict a win for Newcastle in this game, and if you want to play it safe, stake on a draw.

Brentford Vs. Arsenal

Arsenal is a strong contender for the EPL title and might sit top of the table depending on what’s played between Manchester and Liverpool. The upcoming match against Brentford is an easy win, and we predict at least a two-goal win from Arsenal.

Tottenham Vs. Aston Villa

Surprisingly, Aston Villa has been on great form this season, sitting at number five, right below Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham Hotspur has 26 points, while Aston Villa has 25 points from twelve matches. With Aston Villa’s motivation and form in past matches, we expect them to put up a fight against Tottenham Hotspur. They could get a winning chance, considering how destabilized Tottenham has been since their 4 – 1 loss to Chelsea. However, from past head-to-head matches and home advantage, Tottenham has the edge to win. You can also stake a draw between the teams.

Everton Vs. Manchester United

Everton recently just had ten points docked for violating the profit and sustainability rules. Undoubtedly, the team is demotivated, and it might be hard to get back to winning or drawing against teams. This coming match against Manchester United doesn’t look good for them. We predict a win for Manchester United with final results of over two goals.

Fulham Vs. Wolves

Head to head, in over 19 past matches, the Wolves have won ten matches, drawn seven, and lost two against Fulham. Currently, Wolves have an edge over Fulham, with a higher ranking and more points. However, Fulham has a home advantage, and we might be in for a surprise. As such, our predictions put them at a draw or narrow win for Wolves.

Conclusion

These are our predictions for the thirteenth week of the English Premier League 2023/2024. We can’t wait to see what teams have in store for us, and we’ll be back for a recap and more predictions for the fourteenth week!
