Franck Surdez Scouting Report At KAA Gent
The first January signing we will examine is Franck Surdez.
The 21-year-old Swiss winger will join Gent from Swiss second-division side Neuchâtel Xamax.
The current Swiss U21 international is an exciting prospect and one that is highly rated in Switzerland.
Surdez played 17 matches in total with Xamax in the Challenge League, scoring seven goals and seven assists, establishing himself as the Swiss sides critical chance creator.
In fact, Surdez’s 14 total goal contributions led the Challenge League this season.
At the same time, his quality on the ball and ball progression have also shone through, with Surdez attempting the second-most overall dribbles and the third-highest attempted dribbles per 90 minutes.
His success rate of 53.6% is also very respectable, though he did not rank in the top 10 in the Challenge League.
The 21-year-old has also attempted the most key passes this season while ranking in the top five in progressive runs, highlighting his ability to create chances constantly, both on and off the ball.
