What to look out for on Matchday 9?
As mentioned, there is plenty to look out for when looking at the fixtures that are scheduled to take place on Matchday 9 in the Premier League, especially if Matchday 8 was anything to go by.
Arsenal’s clash with Aston Villa is certainly a fixture that should provide some exciting football, with both teams holding a rather equal standing in the league so far after eight matches. Of course, it is another game that will see Emiliano Martinez come back to the Emirates Stadium and the Argentine ‘keeper will want to ensure he keeps his old club out of the net.
Chelsea will want to keep their place at the top of the Premier League this weekend and a home clash against Norwich City should be one that they are ready for. The Canaries still do not look like a team that belongs in the division and are yet to register a win, although the Blues will likely be without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner after the pair sustained injuries against Malmo FF in the UEFA Champions League.
Sunday, though, is the day when fans will want to be able to watch all the football that is on offer as they will be able to witness a classic London derby between West Ham and Tottenham at 14:00, before going on to watch the all-time rivalry of the Premier League: Manchester United vs Liverpool.
The two sides have had some of the fiercest battles ever known in English football and whilst the physicality may not be there anymore, the intensity between the two sides certainly remains. Mohamed Salah vs Cristiano Ronaldo? What more could we ask for in the final Premier League game of Matchday 9?
